Week 8

Task List
|
Where you’re at
|
What you need
|
|
Intro Skills
-
Following video tutorials to get a basic understanding
-
Adding characteristics to the site.
-
Expanding and reducing the dimensions
-
Adding images, shapes and designs.
-
Creating visually appealing concepts and designs
-
Working on headers, footers and hyperlinks
-
Working past a simple design to something more complex.
-
Using layers to expand the usage and response of the page.
Practice Skills
-
Creating a multi-page trial website to practice certain skillsets.
-
Using already published sites to get an idea of how websites look in
our modern day.
-
Moving beyond single-layer elements
-
Using mouseover/scroll effects.
Final Project
-
Bringing in images to use for the final project.
-
Implementing said skills to what I started Muse for – creating a
fully-functioning website for my hotsauce.
-
Using three or four tabs, the business should have an appealing online
appearance.
-
Once the pages are set up, a few in-depth video tutorials should help
finalize and add depth to the company.
|
Intro Skills
-
I understand most basic elements.
-
Playing around with some features helps me learn as I go.
-
I’ve seen some video tutorials, but could still spend some time
catching up on other features.
Practice Skills
-
I’ve made two trial websites which display how to use and order
images.
-
Use of slideshows could be used later on.
-
Multi-layered design.
-
Still need to work on some of the mouse and scroll effects.
-
In “preview”, the design is altered.
-
I need more work with the changing dimensions.
-
Hyperlinks hasn’t worked how I desire yet.
Final Project
-
I’ve yet to start…
|
Intro Skills
-
Time to watch videos and modify some of the things I don’t yet know.
Practice Skills
-
I should set aside one more class to watch a video on hyperlinks and
arranging of images so that they stay the same at all page dimensions.
-
I definitely haven’t mastered all of the skills, so I should find one
in-depth skill to apply to my site.
-
Final Project
-
I need to remember to bring in a USB with the images required.
-
This should really pop, so I’ll need to step it up from my practice
pages.
-
I need to find a way to make an interesting presentation out of
something that may be seemingly dry to onlookers.
|
Working alone isn’t much of a problem since I plan on using
Muse to create something for my benefit… working with others would likely slow
down the process on such a project. The problem is that two people could learn
completely different skill sets and apply them together. It may require some
time at home to catch up on where I am otherwise behind.
