Week 3
Week 3 - Genius Hour
What problems do I foresee happening?
Muse may be a drag and drop program, however there still is a learning curb to it. The tutorial videos are a prerequisite to understanding this program. It's too in-depth to learn on ones own. Already, I can see that this will take more time that I initially thought to get to the final result. It will be difficult to get a final product for when they are supposed to be presented.
Another potential problem is that I won't like the final result or I won't find the program works as well as it could. The prototype website may not come with the features I may think it to have. If I swap from Muse, that would be two or more months discarded and a complete refresh with not much time to go.
How can I solve them now?
Instead of trying to experiment on my own with the site, the initial classes must be spent watching the tutorial videos. They are the only way to successfully learn the program. They should save time while also giving an opportunity to follow along side on the program. Many of the problems just require more focus and enthusiasm. This is something that requires learning off of other people. By doing adequate research during the genius hour days, I should be able to learn Muse quicker and understand it well enough to present it at the end of the semester.
