Week 10
Week 10
Week 10... and nearly presentation time. The site is 95% finished. Essentially everything I could do at school is done (asides from improving the purchase form, but finding solutions to that has been difficult). The goal from day one has been met - to create a fully functioning and stunning website in a limited amount of time.
I'm happy for what I've been able to use Muse for, but presenting was something that deterred me from wanting to use muse. Despite working hard hours on this program, people are less likely to want to listen to someone talk about their own website than they would to listen in on some of my pier's projects... robotics, photoshop, music creators and animation are far more captivating and interesting to onlookers than a website... especially a website used for my personal use.
One difference from my Genius hour to some of the others in this class is that I am using it for a specific purpose. One specific goal, nothing really long-lasting or 'fun'. That fact may lead to a dry presentation.
It obviously has to happen, so I'll try and focus on three points:
a. Why web design is important.
b. How Muse compares to other softwares
c. The overall muse experience
Hopefully staying away from 'facts' and targeting those that are interested in making a website themselves will make it a bit more interesting. A small powerpoint may help, but most important is to answer questions people have.
