Week 6 

Muse Progress

Finally a website is recognizable after working on Muse for another 80 minutes this week. It's still in the prototype phase and it will not be used for anything. I'm attempting to compile all of the elements which I have learned into an 'imaginary' restaurant's website. Essentially this is to make it easier to find and add pictures. Obviously none of it is authentic, but it is definitely much easier to delve deeper into the program if there's a subject. 
I can't deny that there is much still to learn and much more still to do. I'm hoping to finish this prototype next week, perhaps watch some more in-depth videos on the program, then start on the final 'presentation-ready' design in the early weeks of May.

Week 4

Today was spent entirely watching the tutorial videos. They gave an in-depth view that displays how Muse works and what we can get out of the program. After viewing them, I was able to create the start of a template in which I understood, unlike previous attempts that were purely experimental. Unfortunately I couldn't follow along in the entirety of the tutorial since the Creative Cloud application is not on the computer, which limits what can be saved and accessed. Many of the tutorials directly correlate to the second-party application. Next week, hopefully the program can be added, which will in effect allow me to begin the first 'real' website.

Week 10

Week 10  Week 10... and nearly presentation time. The site is 95% finished. Essentially everything I could do at school is done (asides from improving the purchase form, but finding solutions to that has been difficult). The goal from day one has been met - to create a fully functioning and stunning website in a limited amount of time.  I'm happy for what I've been able to use Muse for, but presenting was something that deterred me from wanting to use muse. Despite working hard hours on this program, people are less likely to want to listen to someone talk about their own website than they would to listen in on some of my pier's projects... robotics, photoshop, music creators and animation are far more captivating and interesting to onlookers than a website... especially a website used for my personal use.  One difference from my Genius hour to some of the others in this class is that I am using it for a specific purpose.
